In episode 79 of our podcast, we delve into the fascinating and transformative world of Tapping, also known as Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), with the incredible transformational coach Belle Condy.

Tapping is an innovative self-help method that blends the ancient wisdom of Chinese acupressure with the insights of modern psychology.

This powerful technique involves gently tapping on specific meridian points on the body while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations to release energy blockages, reduce stress, and foster a mindset geared towards healing and positivity.

What is EFT?

EFT, or Tapping, is a remarkable self-help tool designed to help individuals manage and overcome negative emotions, stress, and physical discomfort. By tapping on specific points on the body, known as meridian points, we can influence the body's energy system, helping to release blockages that can lead to emotional and physical pain. This practice is rooted in the principles of ancient Chinese acupressure, which has been used for thousands of years to balance the body's energy.

The Benefits of EFT

The benefits of EFT are vast and can positively impact various aspects of our lives:

  1. Stress Reduction: One of the most significant benefits of EFT is its ability to reduce stress. By tapping on meridian points while focusing on stressful thoughts or feelings, we can calm the nervous system and lower cortisol levels.

  2. Emotional Healing: EFT helps in addressing and healing deep-seated emotional issues. Whether it's anxiety, depression, or trauma, Tapping can help release the emotional charge associated with these experiences.

  3. Improved Physical Health: Since our emotional and physical health are interconnected, releasing emotional blockages can lead to improvements in physical health. People have reported relief from chronic pain, headaches, and other physical ailments after practicing EFT.

  4. Enhanced Self-Worth and Self-Love: By addressing limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, EFT can help boost self-worth and self-love, leading to a more positive and empowered outlook on life.

How EFT Can Help You Heal

Healing with EFT involves a simple yet effective process. Here's a basic outline of how you can start your Tapping journey:

  1. Identify the Issue: Begin by identifying the specific issue or emotion you want to address. It could be anything from stress and anxiety to physical pain or a limiting belief about yourself.

  2. Rate the Intensity: On a scale of 0 to 10, rate the intensity of your feelings about the issue. This helps you gauge your progress after Tapping.

  3. Set Up Statement: Create a setup statement that acknowledges the issue and expresses self-acceptance. For example, "Even though I feel this anxiety, I deeply and completely accept myself."

  4. Tap on Meridian Points: Using your fingertips, gently tap on specific meridian points while repeating your setup statement. Common points include the side of the hand, the top of the head, the eyebrows, under the eyes, and the collarbone.

  5. Reassess the Intensity: After a round of Tapping, reassess the intensity of your feelings. Repeat the process until you notice a significant reduction in intensity.
